Someone thinking about suicide may not ask for help, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help. Most people thinking of suicide just want the pain to stop. Talking openly about suicide can help save a life.
What is safeTALK?
safeTALK – Suicide Alertness For Everyone – teaches you to identify people having thoughts of suicide and who may be at risk.
Join us in this half-day course as we teach you skills to help identify people who may have thoughts of suicide; ask them directly about the possibility of suicide; and connect them to life-saving community supports and resources. Anyone can learn these skills that may help you save a life, including:
• First responders
• HR professionals
• Elders and spiritual leaders
• Community service providers
• Teachers, professors, and coaches
• Life skills, shelter, and health field workers
